So if Rasputin sacrificed a portion of humanity to give the Traveler enough power to repel the Darkness, then does that mean that us Guardian's who were resurrected in Destiny are the resurrected souls of those who were sacrificed? It makes sense. The Traveler absorbed our life force, and used it to fight the Darkness, then after the fight was over and the Darkness retreated, the Traveler created the Ghosts with it's last breath before going dormant (perhaps it was out of energy after the fight and needs time to replenish?). Were these Ghosts gifted with the Light (life force) of one specific Guardian? Therefore the reason why the Ghosts would travel the Earth for centuries before finding his/her Guardian? (Possibly the location of our bodies?) Essentially the Traveler gave back the life it took from us to fight off the Darkness.
