with the "hot fixes", the game was perfect the day it launched as far as gameplay goes. It was everything I and many others wanted from a shooter. Destiny was fast paced, you fealt the power of your character exotics were awsome. The problem was with the presentation of the story (Which is awsome as far as storys go) but people weren't drawn into the story because it fealt rushed. instead of changing things that dont need to be changed, take a page from rockstars book and add cool new stuff. (new guns, armor, sparrows, areas, mission types pvp types etc...) If you have to make changes to gameplay here are my suggestions 1) Make all classes faster. every one of them. 2) Un-nerf everything! stop backpedaling and start moving forward so we can have a destiny we are all proud of.
