You are an idiot if you dont ignore all mobs and go right to the boss.
You have the same chance of legendaries from killing mobs on patrol as you do in a strike. Stirke is all for marks.
Rush to end, kill boss, get marks, repeat.

If you have the same chance killing mobs as the final boss... Doesn't it make sense to kill as much as possible to get more loot?

I don't do Strikes for marks because Public Event farming is faster and nets Ascendant Shards and Energy. I do strikes for the end game roll combined with the drops I get during the Strike. Together they offer a higher average of blues and legendaries than farming low levels on Patrol.
