Honestly, f-it. Killing trash mobs gives more chances for drops and keeps ammo stocked. If the rest of my PUG wants to go run ahead to the boss cool. Let me know when he's dead, I'll be there in 5. Thanks for the free loot.
EDIT- Besides, it doesn't take long to kill trash mobs anyways.
