I only do strikes because some bounties make you do it and if I need extra marks. I look for loot drops while patroling. Don't have time to hang out in a strike for a long time that will only give you 25 rep. Much better to zip through it and get to the end real quick, finish the bounty and then do the real loot dropping while patrolling and which also earns rep faster. Also, I earn my gear playing crucible marks.
