Didn't realize this was a thing.
Honestly tho. I personally try to just go with the flow of the situation. If players are hanging around shooting dregs than I'll hang back too. If the others hop on sparrows and fly off through the low lvl mobs I do that too.
It cuts out time but not enough for me to kick up a huge stink about it. And killing everything does drop a few more engrams but it's not like its world changing.
I'm kinda Meh about it. It's never ruined my day.

And to what extent is this frustration taken to, exactly? There are certain situations, like say on Venus where the "over-world" map will have little side pockets of Fallen guys sitting around. Do the "sprint through the map" folks have to sit around while the "kill everything that moves" ppl chase down every Shank and grab every spirit bloom on the map along the way. It's just a personal preference thing. I can go either way on it I guess.
