I need help understanding drops and loot
I'm having a difficult time being awarded drops or getting loot with adequate items.
It seems everyone around me is getting the good items like legendary or exotic items. Am I like, not playing enough?
It appears you have to play a shit load just to increase vanguard or crucible rank. I pick up bounties and complete them by its like each victory or completion is moot. My friend is a 28 and I'm a 24. I play more than he does.
What should I do? Do I need to purchase something to increase chances of drops? Like from the speaker?
I'm not vanguard rank 1 yet. But I'm crucible 1.
Any insight would be great.

All I can say is grind out the 24 strikes. You'll 100% get at least one blue engram at the end plus what ever you pick up while doing the strike + there's a chance that the blue at the end might be a legendary I'm a lvl 29 and that's all I've been doing. Other then the raid and the 28 nightfall, that'll be your best bet! It's a grind tho not gonna lie
