[/b] There are SO MANY THINGS that we've had very very minimal exposition on. Kat: "Wait......are we the good guys......or not ?" Are we an army of the UNDEAD ?" Major: "PLEASE - don't call us that ! I want to know why the Speaker is so Jaded ?!" Constable: "Cause he's seen 100,000 of us come back [b]with our guts blown out [/b]defending this LAST CITY." Hey - [b]What's the DEAL[/b] with these Alien Gods....? Where do we have to go to[b] SMACK THEM ? [/b]" Kat: "Just [b]WHAT[/b] are ghosts anyway ?" Major: "Is the Speaker covering his face cause he's ashamed to show it ? Was he abducted and cyberized by the Traveller ? Does he drink himself into a stupor each night because of survivor guilt ? Is he an Exo ? Or was he a Guardian who caught a laser blast to the FACE ?" Constable: "What's this talk about "[b]CHOOSING A SIDE ? [/b] I thought I already CHOSE a side ! Am I gonna have to choose AGAIN ?" Major: "Darn Enigmatic Hunter [b]Exo-babe..[/b]..and her enigmatic words !" Kat: "How come none of the Aliens will[b] TALK [/b]with us ? How come all the interactions happen in cut scenes ?" Major: "Now if this were a B____ * story there'd be a wheezing black-market merchant in an encounter suit who your Guardian would have to [b]track down following clues [/b]across half a continent,, and AFTER beating up his bodyguards and either threatening him or charming him - He would give you one hazy clue to follow that would lead to a fight with a whole team of mercenaries, an ambush, a boss fight, a loot grab, a romantic interlude with[b] heartbreak and/or making out[/b]...and then you'd have to go on to some outlaw space station, buy some black market elite guns and armor, fight past more Alien Goons, use your skills to [b]intimidate / charm[/b] a crime lord, - just to find the next clue to [b]uncovering the mystery behind the emerging VEX / FALLEN / CABAL / AWOKEN / DARKNESS machinations. !" [/b] ...... I want to meet that wheezing merchant and have those interactions ! It's not just about having Fire Fights ! How about some Story ? How about some Context ? Constable: "Yeah !"
