I am in the same situation. Although my wife understands that gaming for me is how I cope with stress so she doesn't rush me off and understands now that I can't pause destiny so I can't come see/do something for her at the drop of a hat.

Congratulations. Just today I got the "Why would you buy a game that can't pause?!" Like I'm a developer at Bungie or something!
