Healer Class and Chat at "The Tower"?
Guys, first off... this game needs a Healer Class for PvE, having this, it will allow the game to have an interesting new mode of doing dungeons like in WoW... imagine 10-12 guardians in a RAID against tones of mobs, mini-bosses and huge bosses that can take 30 or 40 minutes to kill with 12 guardians shooting nan stap.
Now a Healer class would have different healing skills, instead of grenades, it would throw healing bubbles that people can take and heal themselves OR have a "healing circle" in the floor so every guardian that stays inside of that huge circle mark, it will be healed. I can see all the guardians stacked in the circle area and shooting every mob and boss around it.
For PvP the healer class would heal less of course otherwise it would be way TOO OP and unstoppable lol.
And for the chat, every MMORPG has to have a Chat feature, to schedule dungeons, events, whatever with other people... communication is really important and this game is lacking of it... don't know, allow a phone app chat for Android and iOS that lets you /shout and invite people from the phone. That can be also used to SELL/BUY items... -> allow Trading between players too!!!!
People will start shouting: "LF 26+ Healer and Titan for Heroic"... wouldn't that be epic? hahaha
The game has potential, improve these things!!! i can assure you people will love it.

You don't need a healer class. For one the titans secondary subclass with the bubble basically fits that bill already, and for 2 YOU HEAL IN LIKE 5 SECONDS! Totally and absolutely this needs more chat functionality. I'd like to see a proximity voice chat myself. Your fireteam can be heard from anywhere like your on radios but if you're close to a guardian you should be able to hold a d-pad button and talk to people in the open world.

Ohhh no not a healer class. Because after we get healer class. EVERY STRIKE AND RAID HAS TO HAVE HEALER. And if we get tank... same damn thing. And then someone has to be kicked out, because they don't fit the right bill. Less limitations like this and more possibilities. I want to play with people, not exclude them because they don't have optimal class selection.

Perfect! I love standing in one tight location with other guardians. I always thought "Damn, that guy died, we all should've been stacked there so we could've died as a team..." If you really need heals let sunsingers get a perk for melee called Cauterize that way we can punch people for a heal and possibly an over shield on our target *this would eat scorch this giving a reason for "healer" singers to use the strength stat*

1 RispondiI agree, I would thought the Warlock Class would act as one prior to the game launching, but now see none. I told this to my GF two nights ago. The game needs a heal class.

The Titan is the closest thing to a healer. His Void bubble protects from incoming damage and it can give you an extra shield when you leave it (or extra weapon damage. Since Health and shield regenerate there is no need to have a healer class. But the Titan fills a roll close to it by giving your teamate a place that either the titan or other Guradians can go to to get additional protection. If health didn't regen then yes a healer class but since it does there is no point to it. It would just be called the weakest class. But chat yes. I do beleive that the chat in the game does leave something to be desired for. proximity or PvP chat would be good. Tower chat. Or at least on spot in the tower where you could go to talk to people like the tavern.

For crying out loud, there's a post office right there when you get off your ship in the tower... And i cant use it to send some mail to people i know?

2 RisposteTrading would make cave farming a problem and ruin the in-game economy. Healing would be difficult to implement I think. I like some of your ideas though. Boss fights are tiresome as it is. Coming from WoW, I'm used to boss fights taking less than 5 minutes with raid bosses taking between 5-10 (in some cases a little more). I find all the adds annoying myself. Flooding you with adds to deal with doesn't make a boss more interesting, at least to me. Especially if all the boss does is walk around shooting and being a bullet sponge. From what I've read, the raid boss fights are more complicated and use some mechanics, rather than just having tons of hp and adds. I'd like to see more of that in strikes, but the lack of communication would be a problem if one or more players didn't understand the mechanics.

7 RisposteWell look at it this way, a properly speced Defender pretty much does a good job of healing, shields from passing through the bubble and what not. Also a well thought out blade dancer makes an excellent medic. Fun fact that is apparently not well know, in PvE enemies won't attack you if you're invisible. You can get in, revive, and get out, quickly and without a scratch. Plus Crest of the Alpha Lupi buffs revive time for both you and your allies. That's the set up i'm rocking now, check it out.

2 RisposteI don't see a need for a healer and if there was one I probable wouldn't play it. For chat, I'm not letting just anyone chat me up on my phone. Now an in game, request and except, for chat or voice I'm OK with.

1 RispondiTrade systems always open a door for potential duping. Plus the RNG loot system keeps it pretty fair as far as quantity v. quality, patience is a virtue when it comes to drops.

Amidst all of that rambling, I can't find a single good idea. Chat, even in the tower, unless muted by default, would result in someone blaring music into the microphone. Seen it way too many times. Much better just to keep it to fireteam chat only. Trading/selling opens the door for RMT, which would destroy this game. A healer class is not necessary, considering the recovery rate handles that for you. All of these things have their place in mainstream mmorpgs (WoW, SWTOR), but not here.

I would play healer, I hoped the defender would be more of a healer. It would make your gun so much more effective if you're being healed while shooting it.

Pretty much the only way people die is from one shot kills. A healer would be useless.

with the right defender loadout, the shield kind of turns into this. It doesn't actually heal you, but it can give you extra shields and you can recoup inside or take out mobs that are dumb enough to enter.
