I know how you feel. I am married and have 2 kids aged 9 and 13.
However! I can remote play Destiny on my Vita if they want to watch the main tv and I can still sit with them. Works perfectly and is great fun on the Vita.
Also I have a second PS4 in our bedroom and a second copy of Destiny. Sad but can play pretty much anywhere in the house now. My son and I can also play Destiny in the house together.
