I'd be fine with prone. It was annoying in COD, but it was pretty useful in Battlefield. It have the game some real stealth- there's nothing like hiding in a bush for a tank to roll by. It's not a must, because there aren't many practical uses for it here (there aren't even bushes, for the most part), but I don't see anything wrong with the mechanic. Just my 2.1 cents.
