I was thinking of doing the same. Preordering doesn't mean you plan on buying the game and from my experience at gamestop they don't deduct that price from the game price. Also just wait and throw that reserve to another game you really want after all the codes are gone.

Well, when I preordered Destiny Gamestop never sent me a beta code so I cancelled and preordered from Amazon.

If you pre ordered in store then the code was on the receipt to use on bunnies website for the actual beta code. That's old water under the bridge. Yes as long as you get the code then who's to say you have to buy the game. Just think as your buying DLC for $5 which it is pretty much.
