I've owned both counsels in each generation except xbone and no one uses their mic. When you do get someone with a mic it's usually the dumbass teenager who thins it's cool to say f&ck every two words, this is for all consoles. People only use their mics when playing with friends.

The lack of Mic use in Destiny is due to Bungie's cluster-fu@k of a system for in-game communication. Every fireteam I joined had Mics on PS4. So, no, I will not join a sub-par community on a sub-par console. Thanks anyways.
