ASIA Console (R3) - Europe Beta Code Error [Workaround]
Hi,
I pre-ordered destiny off amazon and got my code into bungie.net. When the codes unlocked I chose Europe as per the FAQ, however each code is giving me an error, E-82000134. The game isn't being added to my downloads list, library or notifications. I have tried a friend's code and also a US region code. All giving me the same error.
I also tried redeeming through the sony website and I get a similar error.
I'm starting to believe it's due to my console's region and bungie not being clear about which regions they are covering.
Any assistance would be great!

[b]EDIT:[/b] After creating a UK account DarthForte was able to come up with this workaround:
[u]WORK AROUND:[/u]
1. Create a new PSN account in a european region (Australia or UK recommended)
2. Redeem the code on the new EU account
3. Start the Destiny download
4. Once the Destiny download is complete you should be able to switch back to your main account and run Destiny on it to complete the rest of the download & install!
This should also work if you accidentally chose an american code but are in the European region. Just make a US account instead.

The good news is I'm able to play on my asian PSN account after downloading the beta, so you just need to sign up for a UK account just to redeem the code and download the beta.

I tried this. it didnt' work. when I logged in with my other user account it came up with an error saying that "only users licensed... blah blah blah"... Thanks for the awesome sign up process Bungie.

1 RispondiI did this method provided by DarthForte and it worked. I couldn't play on my PS3 (Europe) cause I am in Taiwan. So I made a new PSN account with the address being in Europe. Then used my codes provided by bungie to download the game. After I downloaded and installed it, I was able to sign back into my original name and play from there.

I have the same problem. And I can't download the game in the PSN. It is just an overview and 3 videos.

i pre ordered digi version and couldn't download the beta i went to DL ist and their was a file for destiny beta without icon and a note saying cannot download i deleted this file and went onto store to re DL and it worked i'm DL now ,can only think original file is interfering with new one, hope this helps.

1 RispondiI just ended up swapping my code with someone for an NA code. I know folks are looking for EU codes so it should be easy to find someone to hook you guys up. Because what the FAQ SHOULD have said is if you account is from a certain region, to pick that region. NA code worked for me and I didn't need to make an EU PSN account.

Same exact issue here. Brought my PS4 with me to Korea, bought my game from amazon, registered as Europe just as the facts said to. When I tried to use any of my codes it says they are invalid.

1 RispondiI'm playing from Australia, but using my asian PSN account (migrated from an Asian country to AUS). However all of my 3 beta codes aren't being detected in the PSN store, perhaps I should open an aus account and try. Will let you know how it goes here.

I can confirm the codes are working in the Australian region. I made an australian PSN account just to play the destiny beta, the redemption works there. The Asian PSN store needs to get its act together and update the codes. very unprofessional as usual.

2 RisposteI'm encountering the same issue as well. It's really annoying how the Asian PSN store is always barely updated and its always a coin toss whether or not the game you bought will have DLC available on it, and now we can't even get the beta we paid for. Excellent.
