Okay, so I just hopped back onto Dark Souls 2 it's been a few months since I last played it. Anyway I decided to go after the Armor of Aurous. Now I know how to get it, kill the red phantom, then flexile sentry, then burn a bonfire ascetic and rinse and repeat. The problem is I've killed the red phantom on the boat about 5 times now and he's only dropped the gloves and that was from the first time I killed him. So I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if this isn't the actual way to get the armor or maybe this just takes time? Anyway I'm not entirely sure what to do so that's why I came here. I just wanted to get more information before I [i]burned[/i] through all my bonfire ascetics (ha ha get it!?) since, well, I only have six left. So if you could help me out that would be awesome and I would really appreciate it. EDIT: Oh, and if anyone needs a Ring of Life Protection I have a few...Quite a few actually...
