FastTravel? Will it happen?
Do you think destiny will have fast travel?

I hope not it wound ruin the exportation bungie is to smart to let that happen

6 RisposteI hope they don't have fast travel, otherwise it will ruin the feel of an open world exploration. Yes I agree there would obviously be fast travel between planets, however if say we need to travel from one zone to another on earth then I would prefer to use a 'flight path' in our ships or manually get there using a sparrow. If we can teleport instantly then there would be no need to leave the city to encounter everything. Basically what I'm saying is: I hope it's like World Of Warcraft. Teleport / Hearthstone used to teleport to different planets. Flight paths without loading screens between zones / areas. If the setup is like World Of Warcraft in Destiny, I can see Destiny growing and growing for years to come. However if they allow fast travel like Guild Wars then it will evidentially be boring and a flop with no real community feeling to it. Discuss: Thoughts? Do you want this to be an FPS MMO style game, or are you more interested in casual gaming with fast action?

Saw on the devil lier vid a return to ship button ...so if u can do that then its proubly something to do with a form of fast travel

Yes it will in some capacity. What if I'm exploring the moon and my friends hop online and want to do a strike? Will I be like "sorry can't today cause I'm on the moon and it will take 2 hours to get back to old Russia?" Or just fast travel back to where my friends are

Do I think it will... maybe something like it. Do I want it to... probably not. But time will tell.

I mean.. even if it doesn't initially.. after 10 years it's going to be a rather large universe, right? I would almost hope so. [spoiler]I think where we've seen our spaceships in flight, is the load-screen/fast travel.[/spoiler]

Our ships do carry our smaller (controllable) vehicles as well, so I would imagine the act of fast travel will be to specific LZs in different regions and the rest of the way we have to find our own way to get there. Kinda like the "Fly" HM in Pokemon, I guess. We can fast travel, but only to certain places.

If i can't jump into pvp with my friends because i've managed to get lost or if i have to walk all the way back to the tower just to pick up my friends so we can continue to explore the area i was already in, then i will be pissed.

If by fast travel you mean using my Shrike to jump off, over and through stuff to get to point B as fast as possible. Than HELL YES!!! On the real. In the Devil's Lair video (The Director screen has an over view of the entire map) you can see a screen where you can look at the entire map. I believe there will be key points on the map, mostly entrances to Strikes and Raids, where you can use your Space Ship (I don't know the name of it, lol) to travel to. Also, when you see the formation of 3 Space Ships in the video this is further evidence that you use them to get around on the map to and from? Strikes. Furthermore, the formation of three is because it is signifying a Fireteam! I wonder if when you go to a Raid will it show a formation of 6?!?! Hope this helps!

9 RisposteWell fast travel would probably ruin the overall exploration feel. The whole point of the Destiny world is quote "A world you feel compeled to explore" so fast travel would ruin that feeling, and who the hell wants to fast travel when they have a shrike and a space ship :)
