As much as this may inflame some people, most religions in the world did tons of good along with the tons of bad. Christianity may be known today for it's pedophilic priests and discrimination against homosexuals, but the energy in both time and money which goes into charities is still exponential. We also like to picture Christianity as a detriment to all science in the Medieval Era, but many times Catholic institutions funded what would become the centers of learning which would mold today's science.
