Guns aren't the problem. Gangs are.

So, simple solution: Make being in a gang illegal. If you are found to belong to a gang then you are jailed for life. Cure the disease instead of treating the symptom.

As with all things, it's people that make the difference. When it comes to gun violence, or violence in general it's always either gang or mental health related. Hint, if you look outside the USA you find that violence follows an existing downward trend (in the developed world), unaffected by gun [b]control[/b] legislation.
