Will destiny have a more in-depth melee system?
I'm wondering what the melee system will be like. Will it be like COD, where you click a button and you instantly swipe your knife across the screen, will you have to switch to your knife to use it, or can you hit enemies with your gun like in halo? Will there be swords you can equip?
Has anyone seen any evidence?

We've seen the knife be used similarly to CoD's and we've seen throwing knives. Deej also mentioned an employee using an ancient sword to fight off the Hive.

At E3, the player character clearly was a Warlock but he used a Hunter's Knife as his melee. This was before Bungie said each class got their own unique melee. [spoiler] What I think is that the strength of the melee and how fast you can do it depends on your class. Like maybe the Titan has a strong but slow punch while the Hunter has a quick knife slice and perhaps the Warlock could have like a SPACEMAGIC melee like the Siren or Maya in the Borderlands games. Of course these would just be the default melees. This is all speculation though. [/spoiler]

3 RisposteIn the gameplay video, you can see a guardian stab a fallen with a knife, very much like call of duty. We have seen a Destiny Drawing Board for a [url=http://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Drawing-Board-The-Hunters-Knife/en/News/News?aid=11269]Hunter's Knife[/url]. It's labeled as a melee weapon, which suggests there may be other weapons in that category. There is also tale of a Bungie employee using a sword. It would seem that you'll be able to change your melee weapon, but it doesn't appear to be equip-able. Your melee weapon may be determined by your focus.
