Your active imagination is rather charming, however[/i].[/quote] Given that the average Human lifespan since the Golden Age is between 225-250 years, having [i][b]tripled[/b][/i] (the exact word used by Jason Jones in the recent GameInformer interview) from the current average of 75-80 years, and given that the Collapse occured 700 years prior to the present-day in-game, we're talking about 2 or 3 generations. In other words, our grandparents would have been recounting those stories from memory... Perhaps not so much a myth as a collective desire to suppress a traumatic memory ingrained in the human psyche?
