She said she spoke "American Sign Language", which would signify there's a European Sign Language, and so on for each continent or language. So when we have Braille and our hand signs, how do you translate those into other languages properly? It seems like a case of atoms splitting repeatedly and that we're supposed to be able to break them down over and over again so that all of the parts of Sign Language represent the whole of it, but if need be, you can take it apart and identify the language variant you need to communicate with someone. At least that's my best guess this doesn't make a lick of sense to me.
