Games of the generation, by year
We're sticking to games on the next generation for 2005, 6, etc. and games out in that year, not when you played them (I loved some games a few years late).
2005: Condemned: Criminal Origins
2006: Gears of War
2007: Halo 3
2008: Gears of War 2
2009: Assassin's Creed II
2010: Red Dead Redemption
2011: Skyrim
2012: Halo 4
2013: GTA V
No BioShocks... Can't argue with Rockstar and Bungie, though.
