First of all, it's sort of misleading to say that razer is more expensive than logitech. Razer simply only fills the enthusiast gaming niche while logitech tries to make products for everybody. Yes, a blackwidow, a mechanical keyboard, is more expensive than a $30 rubber dome keyboard. However, comparable products such as a G5 vs. a deathadder or a blackwidow vs. a G710, the prices are fairly similar because the products are aimed at the same audience. That's not to say that razer doesn't have problems. Synapse, which is the cloud based driver system, really sucks. And if you want to be able to use pretty much any of the cool features on their stuff, you have to use synapse. Why does synapse suck? Two reasons: First, even when you are online, it can still take several minutes for the peripheral settings to kick in after you restart your computer. Back in college, there were at least ten different times that it took half an hour for my mouse settings to kick in. Second, the software can be clunky and handles updates really badly. Synapse aside, the products I've used have been fantastic. Without getting into the whole hubbub of sensors and dpi and other marketing nonsense, the deathadder feels so goddamn great. The side buttons aren't the best, but the primary buttons are on a hair trigger and the shape makes it perfect for picking it up and putting it back down quickly and precisely. The blackwidow was one of the few reasonably priced options for a mechanical keyboard that had mx cherry blues, back lighting (which has the added benefit of the lettering never rubbing off), and macro functionality.

  • I'm going to go option 3 for the keyboard: SteelSeries 6GV2. I use this keyboard for >6 hours a day for coding and gaming. Best keyboard there is IMHO.

    • Go with Logitech. While Razer products quality products, you pay out the ass for the brand name.

Logitech for both. Razer is overpriced, it's paying for the brand. The blackwidow ultimate is absolutely stunning and amazing, but too much price wise. I use a Logitech G19 keyboard, and a Mionix Naos 8200 mouse. Both with awesome customization, build quality, and just amazing products

    • I use Razer, because all of my first gear was Razer, and I have brand loyalty and nostalgia. That being said, after doing the research, Logitech gives you the highest quality for what you are paying.

    • I don't know much about brands, but I have a Logitech G600 and I love it. I love having all these buttons literally under my thumb. On the flip side of that, I found out that I really didn't need a gaming keyboard after getting the mouse. The mouse has like 20 buttons on it. Who the hell cares about an extra row of M keys at the top of my keyboard when I have a super mouse with double that number right under my thumb?

I prefer Logitech, every Logitech purchase I have made still works as perfectly as the day I opened it. The one Razer product I bought was the Onza Xbox controller and the thumbsticks were destroyed after a month of normal use. I suppose their other products wouldn't be the same but I like Logitech anyway... As for the specific products you've listed, I can't say because I have not used any of them.
