A Question for the Highschool Students here.

So I graduated a few years before this "anti-bullying" movement started, or at least before the media latched onto it (a few years ago when the gay teen suicides prompted it). While I have my own pessimistic theories on why it's being given so much focus, I was curious; do you see an effect of it in your schools? Do your teachers talk about it? Is a "bully" something that people shame each other for being? Thanks for your time.

Does that theory have anything to do with transgenders supposedly feeling bullied, therefore should be privileged to go into girl and boys restrooms? Or maybe it's to acclimate the newer gen to always look to authority to handle your problems instead of handling it yourself? bc there's always some political agenda when the media constantly pushes a message no one would ever oppose. and that's my tin foil hat theory :)
