I have heard this idea before and I think it sounds pretty good. Basically, take veterans with no mental health issues or terrible injuries, and pay them to watch over schools while armed. They will already have the necessary training (and then some) plus we would be employing veterans that have trouble finding jobs with their skill set. Mass shootings would be much more difficult and the whole "What if a kid gets the gun" argument is gone. I'd like to see some kid try and disarm a soldier. Thoughts?
