when these reach human and above levels of intelligence (as in being able to process emotions) should they be allowed equal rights? throughout history people from all walks of life have had to fight for basic rights, women, black people, different religions etc. I solemnly hope that when a human is able to classify a robot as a 'friend' that they will receive basic rights too.
