What Waypoint Says About B.net Guys
Ever wonder what the people back at Waypoint say about us people here at B.net? I mean most people here direct any fanboys to Waypoint and crack jokes about them about how they are "343 whores" or "Halo 4 fanboy". You think they call us "ignorant people that can't see how awesome Halo 4 is?". (And I tried my hardest not to use "l33t talcking" or whatever). So any of you guys want to go over to Waypoint to see how it is? Knowing this is a high risk mission you'll be we'll compensated. A reward of a pat on the back by "my -blam!-s I give about CoD" and payed by how much I think Halo 4 is amazing... [b]And if this is in the wrong section well what do you advise?[/b]

1 RispondiI don't generally come across very positive threads. That and I get a run-time error every other time i post. The site itself is pretty not-solid. I post their occasionally though. This is my home though.

Everyone there isn't a "Blind Halo fanboy who sucks off 343". In fact, I would say the people over there are more critical about Halo 4 than here. There are tons of threads and posts there, all criticizing the decisions 343 made, such as removal of gametypes, certain features, etc. Another thing, no you do not get banned for having a different opinion or having a negative opinion. If that was the case, half of people on the forum would be banned. No, it's flaming of presenting your opinion in an insulting manner which isn't tolerated. Feel free to present any negative opinions of the game as long as you develop them properly and respectfully, like [url=http://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst127421_This-is-completely-unacceptable--343.aspx]this[/url] Overall, I feel like because some people here were banned on that forum for "no reason" (when really they most likely acted like dicks), there's this notion that the whole forum is garbage. Granted, it's not perfect, and sometimes it loads really slow, but it isn't the terrible mess you guys make it out to be.

4 RisposteI don't like 343's site for two reasons. 1) Their interface. I find it to be flat out terrible. It's not very appealing to the eye, nor is it easy to find certain threads easily. 2) Their strict rules. If you overly criticize their game the mods go crazy.

I apparently "Started a flame war" which was completely out of my control. I don't remember what the topic was about but still it got out of control and the only person who got banned was me as far as I'm aware. The mods are horrible and extremely biased. I don't go there anymore because if I voice my honest opinion on Halo 4 I will likely be banned again.

Spoke the truth about issues on Halo 4 and players who were ignorant for saying crap like Halo 1-3 is bad yet they never played those great games. Wasn't afraid to call players out who knew jack about Halo or what skill and classic Halo was. For my truth they perma banned unjustly. Had an account there since 2011 with like 2k posts and they flagged my posts as 'non-constructive'.

2 RisposteWaypoint used to be relatively nice, but now it's a dark place. You will find some people who are nice and make intelligent arguments but I feel like most of them will rip your head off and stick it on a pike if you even disagree with them in the slightest.

There really isn't any 343 fanboyism there, a lot of people who think that have either never been there, or they saw one thread about it and instantly assumed that the entire user base does it. It's a lot slower than bnet, though. It can take almost 15 minutes before threads get a single reply. I made a thread once about what they thought of this site's forums, and most were either neutral or never have been here, but a few bashed it to hell. I'd pick this place over 343i.org any day. EDIT: Haven't used the Waypoint forums much, so I don't have much to say about it.

Actually many of them hate Halo 4 too. That's why I'm not there, ever. Not to mention that almost nobody goes on their forums. It's all about Halo news and stats.

2 RisposteI have good days and bad days on that site. That said, there are certain things that go on there that make my blood boil. A recent thing going on now, and here, is the reaction to the way Dr. Halsey in the Halo fiction is being treated. I've seen good arguments on both sides. And then I see shit like this: "Halsey deserves some of that treatment at least. If Hitler had succeeded in what he did but with it managed to fend of aliens, would he be a hero?" *facepalm* Who thinks like that?
