The most random, unnecessary plot holes that could easily have been fixed but still presents a major logical flaw in the story. So far, Godzilla 1998 has got to take the award from me. Beast emerges from South Pacific (cleared up by Im SteelAssassin) and swims to America (... just to lay eggs? You'd think Japan would be a better place...). Beast shows up at Manhattan.
