I dont think it is jsut one thing. However with the advancement in skin care products I wouldnt be surprised if women have better skin now than in the past. The rest though is just cultrual change and fashion changes. Peel any girl down to just her skin and you will find that most of them are actually pretty ugly. Though you will get the rare person with flawless skin. The link I posted supports my arguement.
