Attack On Titan is a shitty Anime
Jesus Christ I thought Evangelion Q was a terrible Anime, but this takes the cake.
Why didn't they just build higher walls?
Why didn't they make moats?
Why didn't they go live underground entirely?
Why didn't they fight them with a not shitty fighting style?
The MC can become a titan, and he kills other titans with this, and the first thing the military wants to do is incarcerate/kill him?
This is laughably bad.

Dat opening music though... Also... 1) They hadn't really seen a 60 meter tall Titan before, the wall seemed sufficiently large enough. Plus it's not like the Titans climbed over the wall, they broke through. 2) Presumably the Titans can swim. 3) A walled off society affords the many comforts of actual crops and livestock rather than living off fungus. Though I'm curious as to why they don't simply have underground bunkers, I guess some of the three to four meter tall Titans would get in? 4) Their fighting method seems to be well suited for their technology level. 5) Yeah, they're pretty freaked out.
