Dammit Bungie...
Destiny hasn't even released yet and your already making the same mistake you made with Halo.
A vastly overpowered weapon that outclasses any and all other guns.
I saw that footage in your most recent trailer showing the Hunter, using just that sidearm, just obliterating all those heavy dudes with shields who shrugged off sniper, assault rifle and minigun fire.
This is just like the Magnum fiasco all over again.
Goddamit Bungie!

Personally, I think it wasn't just any pistol, nor just the weapon it self. It looked to me like it was powered up with some sort of hunter-space-magic. And when was the magnum overpowered? Halo: CE? Yeah, but we also lacked a mid-long range weapon. Halo 2? It wasn't even regarded as a magnum (nor in Halo: CE) and was pathetic. Halo 3? Nah, a little under powered unless you really knew how to use it, definitely a finesse weapon. Halo Reach? Got it right, weak enough, but useful as a side arm, the way it should have always been.
