Sennheiser HD 558s or Sennheiser HD 205-IIs?
anyone know which would be better for a TV or iPod?

The 558s are way less portable, I'm pretty sure they don't come with a 3.5mm jack as standard. Weird pair of headphones to be deciding between though...... aren't the 205s pretty cheap in comparison? I'm personally a big Sennheiser fan but if you considering spending toward $200 on those 558s there are some very good alternatives to consider. Namely the Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones.

5 RisposteThe HD205's are more portable than the 558's. If they're anything like their predecessors, neither of them need to be amped, so it'll be fine to plug straight into your iPod. I have a pair of HD555's that I use on my desktop. I've de-foamed them and they sound great, but Sennheiser's build quality leaves a lot to be desired. I'm looking to replace them some time. I'm currently looking at AKG models for a replacement.
