[/i] Totalitarianism (government controls all, no questions asked) is where the state holds total control and authority over society and life. A Dictatorship is where the government is headed by one individual and he/she has total control, much like a King or Queen position (comparative to a monarchy). Communism is the system in which there is no caste system in society, and everybody is equal. Ergo, everyone makes different amounts of money dependent on their job and nothing is privately owned; all owned by the government. The difference between Totalitarianism and a Dictatorship is that a Dictatorship is run by an individual, not multiple people. Communism is I suppose much like Totalitarianism, but everybody is equal in a communist society.
