I’m running out of ideas, so I’m posting everything I’ve already tried in detail.
What I’ve done so far:
- Uninstalled Epic Games Launcher + Epic Online Services (EOS) via Windows
- Performed a deep cleanup, deleting every Epic-related folder on the entire drive (including hidden folders, anti-cheat, etc.)
- Rebooted the PC
- Downloaded the latest Epic Games Launcher version from the official site
- Installed and ran the launcher as administrator
- Logged into Epic using Steam login
- Fully closed Epic (system tray + Task Manager)
- Opened Win + R → appwiz.cpl to double-check
- Manually uninstalled Epic Online Services (EOS)
- Launched Epic again as administrator so it would reinstall EOS
- Opened Win + R → services.msc
- Found Epic Online Services and had to manually start it (it would not start on its own)
- Reinstalled Destiny 2
- Verified Destiny 2 files
- Closed Epic again
- Closed Steam just in case
- Opened Epic again as administrator
- Launched Destiny 2
- Same error (GARBANZO), closed the game
- Opened CMD as administrator
- Ran the following commands:
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
- Rebooted the PC
- Accessed my router
- Checked UPnP — enabled
- Checked IPv6 — working fine (DHCPv6)
- Contacted my ISP — no issues on their side
- As a final test, launched Destiny 2 via Steam → game works perfectly with no issues
I need it to work on Epic Games, that’s where my DLCs are. I really don’t want to have to buy the DLCs for the third time…
Has anyone experienced something like this before? If so, how did you fix it?
