Posting this so people know what kind of moderation goes on in Devourers. This is about the clan Devourers and their Discord server. I reported a member for repeated harassment. The mods refused to do anything about it and kept falling back on the excuse that it is an 18+ server so I should just deal with it. That was their justification for ignoring the situation entirely. When I defended myself and pointed out that they were not moderating at all, that is when they stepped in. Not to stop the harassment, but to ban me instead. The ban itself was handled in a completely unprofessional way. The ban message contained a racial slur, -blam!- insults, and personal attacks. That message came from the moderation team, not some random user. I was banned immediately after saying I would take the issue to Discord Trust and Safety, which also conveniently meant I could not grab chat logs afterward. This is not about being sensitive or offended. It is about mods abusing their power, ignoring harassment, and then lashing out when they get called out for it. An 18+ label is not an excuse to be lazy, hostile, or outright nasty, especially when you are the one holding moderation tools, which makes most of them power hungry, and think they are immune to punishment. If you are fine with that kind of environment, then fair enough. If not, at least now you know what you are dealing with. It has been taken to both Bungie, and Discord's Trust and Safety team. Remember that we are a community, it doesn't mean we have to be hostile towards each other.
