Just isn't true... I completed the entire quest without invading once.
You only have to play in contested territory twice at the highest delta, but it doesn't say GM.
You could probably turn down the difficulty to circumvent it.
I plan on testing this in a min. (Turns out quest didn't update on my other 2 characters past 11).
AND for clarity... Step 11 of the quest reads,
"Work your way up Syndicate Ranks by completing a priority contract for your syndicate.
You may OPTIONALLY complete an invasion on the Lawless Frontier to disrupt Rival Syndicates. Wager additional deathmarks to increase rewards from successful invasions".
Those are the facts.
Invasions are NEVER forced or required. At most, you need to play in contested territory twice.

Modificato da jhermannITJ: 12/11/2025 4:08:58 AMUpdate to this post: I mentioned in the topic body message that since the quest didn't update or is not account wide I would test if turning down the difficulty to Expert would complete the quest steps and insofacto priority contract requirements for contested territory runs.... It does. So then what are the conclusions to this analysis & some permutations. 1. You enjoy GM loot and difficulty but don't want to deal with invaders? Play PvE nodes except when priority contracts ask for contested territory runs, change to expert. We're talking a nominal loss in gains playing this way. 2. You don't like GM difficulty but want good loot, Tier 4 +... Grind Expert exclusively, no invaders ever. The rep gains are virtually the same, the only loss is less ingots. Then upgrade the vendors, get the spider upgrade and you'll get Tier 4s on Expert, Tier 5s on master... rarer than GM or Ultimate but they'll drop. I got a tier 4 playing Expert... most were 3s. So, these are you're 2 main options if you don't want to deal with invasions. GM loot no invasions. Grind rep fast on Expert for the upgrades no invasions. The quest doesn't require it, Priority Contracts don't require it (Invading or being invaded). 😇👍💠

Modificato da rottingvermin: 12/11/2025 2:34:48 PMClarity? An optional part of a quest is not a quest. It shouldn’t be there. EDIT: To be fair it was probably one of the things they changed last minute in the release.
