am a little sad that the transmutations by the death of III are nowhere to be seen in the patrol spaces or any of the portal activities.
am a little sad that the transmutations by the death of III are nowhere to be seen in the patrol spaces or any of the portal activities.
It’s pretty clear that they’re setting up old Chicago as a future expansion setting. I’m sure it’ll show all sorts of post III death shenanigans.

2 RisposteBungie have never been good at environmental story telling. There is still a fragment of the traveller in the EDZ and the changes the lucent hive made in the cosmodrome are magically gone plus tye rebuilding of the old tower that has been happening for what nearly 9 years now.

Bungie sees your pleas and offers more portal junk.

Bungie can't afford such details in 2025 -
Yeah Bungie never changes/updates patrol zones. Except the one area on Nessus where the huge cabal land tank is(the chosen strike).

I legit was hoping to see some of that as well - just to see some weird...something off. A haze in the air, or the texture on the ground just looks wrong. Even the elemental rain that feels like being hit by shelling might be something to avoid from time to time. Who knows, maybe in what's being cooked right now will explore some of that in Old Chicago.

Hopefully we will see some interesting things with the next expansion. Lore wise the changes are mostly subtle atm. Chicago being a rotting, mostly abandoned, urban wasteland would be a really cool aesthetic for the next expansion.
