Am I the only one who doesn’t get how those contracts work? There’s some text, and you’re supposed to compare it with three icons. I just don’t see it. Then you do a mission, and it turns out that wasn’t it. You can track that contract, but you don’t see it on a map. So I still don’t know what I’m supposed to do. I find it really, really confusing. And I feel like I’m doing the same thing over and over again. Can it be changed? That would be great.

I've had this problem a few times. I'll start a mission in Tharsis Reformation territory for my contract, but when I spawn in its filled with Pikers and my contract doesn't level up. I know that the nodes rotate every 30ish minutes, so maybe that's why, but it seems like such a weird thing to allow while flying to the destination, causing people to not gain progress.

On the bottom right there’s the different kinds of symbols. Each symbol is a type of mission and faction
-
Pro tip: look at the right hand corner of your screen for what the symbols mean. Highlight the location if you need more detail. It will take some people longer to get used to the names and icons.

true they should just have an option to auto launch like story mission, bungie should know by know that the community can't / don't like to read
-
4 RisposteI’d like it to highlight the most efficient one for your current contracts. Sometimes there is one activity you could do and get all three done.
-
agree that the design is like a lesson in how to badly design an activity interface and how to poorly guide a player in what to do for success
-
OP: it’s not just you! Bump! 🖖

I think it's fine as it is. Exploring is a big part of what I value in games. Then again, reading three lines of one description and comparing them to three lines of another one isn’t exactly exploring.
-
I just go by the text at the top. The mission type, which factions, destination if stipulated, and if it needs to be contested or not. Then if it needs a faction mod or whatever. Some contracts seem to be stuck though 🤔
-
Who typed this out for you? Because it sounds like the only books you can read are picture books
-
Stay in school kids.

I get confused myself that I reread the contract lol. It got me annoyed that I didn’t read fully a few times n it was an ability lol. Atleast it’s not 20 mins wasted ever until you hit 5 on all 3 crews n upgrade every thing.
-
Every contract I've had is either planet based or based on the faction that controls the territory. A touch of reading after selecting the activity tells you what you need to know. If it isn't what you need, pick a different one.
-
3 RisposteThey either say fight a specific enemy or do a specific job type. What exactly is complicated about that?

Modificato da Dooodley: 12/9/2025 10:58:11 AMJust find the lowest possible denominator so that you can knock out as many as possible at once. What i find more confusing is the whole purpose of factions. You can still level and buy from any faction regardless of which one you're in. Actually, there is one benefit - and it might be a highly personal one; if you dont pick Tharsis you're able to fight them during your priority contracts. With the weapons I like to run I find the vex the easiest to kill.

Bruh...

If you’re Totality Division for example, the job/contract will say complete exfil on Piker Gang or Tharsis Reformation territory. When you hover over each node it will say in blue which gang currently controls that specific node. If you’re in Totality Division avoid doing exfil on Totality Division territory as it won’t give progress. If the contract asks you to complete a smuggle or bounty hunt job then it doesn’t matter which territory/gang area you’re on. It will still count as long as you exfil.

Modificato da cryptic_king_241: 12/9/2025 5:24:16 AMThey tell you what you need to do. Usually can get all 2 done in one run, it depends on them having a common goal. Ex: Tharsis: Do jobs on mars / venus. Pikers: Exfil in a Tharsis / Totalarity controlled area. Totalarity(?): Exfil in a smuggle / sabotage run. The gang in control rotates every 15m.
