I'm probably the last to learn this, as I've been away from Destiny 2 for a long time. Also, it's been a while since I've used the forums. So, I'm probably reading too much into this, but it's still kind of a cool idea. ANYways, as we know, the Royal Protector is designed to look like Emperor Palpatine's Imperial Royal Guards from Star Wars. However, I'm curious if the in-game lore is they're special Queen's Guard for Queen Mara. The reason I'm curious about this is the new purple "lightsaber" in the store is called "Royal Guard Hilt", and the design is the same as the Dreaming City Awoken weapons with the blue cloth wrapping. If so, it's cool how Bungie game in game lore for otherwise outside of lore armor. As a Queen Mara lover, this would actually make me happy if it's true.
