But I genuinely believe if you’re still playing this game, especially after ash & iron AND you still think this current iteration of destiny is “good”, you’re the problem. There are definitely a super toxic part to this community but those of you who are blaming the mass backlash and exodus on “burnout” or “a hive mind of toxicity” all whilst accepting the absolutely ludicrous decision bungie has made and implemented, to me at least, is far more toxic. Bungie, for the longest time know, quite simply haven’t had a clue how to make this game realise it’s full potential and have ultimately, failed upwards. Some of the best content this game has ever seen was developed by other studios and when bungie has had to make any big decisions on their own, it has been tone deaf and a failure, especially for a company that “is listening”. Renegades will be equally as mid as EoF was but with a massive debt to Disney for the Star Wars rights and I’d be amazed if it wasn’t destiny’s last expansion at this point. The silence in regards to the road map is either (in my opinion anyway) down to either the fact that bungie simply doesn’t know what road to take the game in/ quite frankly doesn’t have the devs or funds to produce it OR Sony are making them keep quiet until they can be sure marathon isn’t Concord 2.0 to decide wether destiny has a future past renegades.
