Featured Gear is a trash system
Not being able to get an A unless i use all featured gear or else have to increase the mobs to 30 power above me instead of 20. Such a terrible system that forces you to play in ways you dont want.
Using G horn during this event is objectively fun. Being forced not to use it or be an extra 10 levels under the mobs is utter trash.

3 RisposteIt's supposed to encourage you to play the game in different ways. There's no invisible hand forcing you to use the gear and the drops are absolutely amazing. Try and enjoy it and if the feature isn't what you're looking for, try a different route.
