iOS Companion app says no characters exist
I log into the companion app and it says no characters exist, but yet I have a Titan that is almost 200 light level. The companion app says my cross save #5796 and when i play destiny 2 it says my cross save is #4170.

Here you are logged in as laoPanda4593#5796, you have a blank PSN and a blank XBox account linked, no characters, no game time, and with no cross-save; that also sounds like what you are logged into on the app. That would mean you're probably logging in with the wrong XBox or wrong PSN account. What is the full Bungie name of the account you see in-game?
