Nintendo is too far behind on multi-player, they just now got voice chat, something PS and Xbox have had for 3 generations While D2 needs to he on has many platforms has possible, there are alot of factors indicating it wouldn't work on Nintendo Plus I doubt Sony would allow it, D2 wouldn't be on Xbox if Sony thought the game could survive on PS5 and Steam alone
