Bungie devs, if you want to make a Star Wars game, make a damn Star Wars game. Stop ruining Destiny 2 with crossovers
I didn't play for 11 years this franchise only for this IP becoming another IP entirely with a single DLC.
This is BS! If you want to make a Star Wars game so much, let Disney pay you for doing so. I am sure many would take a separate Star Wars game made by Bungie over Marathon at this point. And even Marathon looks now creatively more attractive than this Destiny x Star Wars fanfiction you calll Renegades.

I wouldn't mind seeing bungie remake Republic Commandos. They could finally give it the 2 spin off sequels it deserves. Imperial Commando and Rebal Commando. After all the Frames from Destiny resemble the B2 battle droids, and blaster bolts would behave similar to glaive bolts. Not to mention many of the mechanics from RC are present in D2 so they could easily do it using D2 assets.

I love how a couple of Star Wars themed items and some homage has all the cheapskates and Destiny puritans in the community all up in a tizzy. It’s comedic gold.

They could not have been more clear that it takes place in destiny and is about destiny. All they are doing is leaning into their roots, as Star Wars was one of the primary inspirations behind the destiny universe. Also there is some collaboration with Lucasfilm games, whether that goes beyond licensing, I do not know. But it is not crossover. It’s not about Star Wars. They’re just borrowing visuals because they like it.

They literally said that before showing the teaser, it's an homage. It just has some star wars inspiration (something destiny already has). Hell, the only thing you even saw in there related to star wars was a gun (which could easily be a destiny gun) and a lightsaber... That's it. Can you yall wait before just moaning immediately? You're acting like bungie is putting battlefront 3 into the game???

I always said destiny felt like a watered down Star Wars attempt. Now they’re fully embracing it. Several more Eververse SW deals and an entire SW themed expansion between now and December. Still better than SW outlaws.

The Star Wars "Homage" would have caused less of a stir if they concentrated a little more on making sure the content they were so proud to get us playing actually worked properly. If having quests not track encounter completions and weapon perk pools seemingly messed up are launch bugs in a minor DLC. I am terrified to think how bad Edge of Fate has the potential to be with all it's planned changes.
