So, from my understanding... It's essentially not really worth hunting Artifice armour now until Armour 4.0 drops?
Just grind for weapons only from here onwards?
Like I know Armour we have currently is still fine after 4.0 drops but they'll eventually be replaced regardless since 4.0 has the incentive to move onwards.
Is that how I'm reading it, correct?

Yes you are correct. However waiting to farm it will be worth the investment. Your current armour will hold up for now. The newer versions will open up more build options for you. Farm materials though if you're short just incase.
