I guess some jobs are gonna be replaced by cars once this stunt fails 😉 😉

It’s a nerf, just like the stat update. Where they made having less than 30 in any stat a negative. The prior baseline for cooldowns is 30, not 0. They mentioned that only once when talking about it. When they shadow nerf, they hide it. So let’s look at this. Fewer stats on armor, MODS turned into statsmention of the defensive stats like resilience? And they’ve been adding defensive abilities recently? They are lessening our build potential, which lowers offense and defense, while outright gutting defensive stats. This is blatant.

13 Risposteagreed. this is sunsetting by another name. sunsetting killed my desire to play d2 and if they do this i’m done. i refuse to regrind and attempt terrible content that isn’t any fun just to grind another set of armor after i already did that. yep! this will be a dead game sooner than i could have imagined…
-
16 RisposteABC - Anything But Content. They are doing everything they can to increase play time but adding actual content. This will keep the hardcore addicts satisfied, and they'll argue that it is content. To each their own I guess, most people have fled for a reason.
-
57 RisposteIt's effectively sunsetting old armour........an Bungie believes it'll incentivise us to chase the new one...... You can polish a turd. It's still going to smell like a turd though. Like cmon man.....
-
Having to now collect new gear to take on harder challenges. Such villainy! What kind of looter shooter mmo does that?! Omg! Fire Pete! Sunset my wife's bf instead!

22 RisposteYup it looks like a vault full of junk is going to be Bungie's answer to our vault space issue. This Idea of reworking armor for more build crafting sounds great if your a min/maxer elite player. If you are not it sounds like more chores to regrind everything. Bungie is once again over promising and I BET that it will not work well. it will take them ALL year to fix the smallest of issues while ignoring the large issues and the community the whole time.
-
I’m just going to use the armor I have until I’m able to completely replace with new armor. While just playing the game lol
-
You get points for humor here, but we’ve needed something new in the Armor department for a long while. As long as they don’t trash current armor to force the incentive to peruse the new - I’m fine with it. If the main incentive is the armor just being plain better (kinda like weapons pre/post intrinsic perks) it’ll be a great addition.
-
“Bungie’s consistent inability to deliver content in quality and time.” Said the guy at the head of the company that forced Bungie out and to pay them back some 250mln penalty. And the same idiots that thought Bungie was finally free from being a lazy cash grabbing business model are those who think this new change is great for the game and worth the money.

1 RispondiLets see how low it gets, now this is just hilarious. https://www.dexerto.com/destiny/destiny-2-player-count-2354190/

20 RisposteWell, I grinded for armor once wasting mats, I grinded for, to upgrade it. Then they changed it, and I regrinded for armor again, and wasting mats, I grinded for, to upgrade it. Now they expect me to do it a 3rd time. No, I'll go play something else that respects my time.
I guess some jobs are gonna be replaced by cars once this stunt fails
it doesn't matter anymore knowing they already fired everyone impatient. Hell, they fired nearly half their studio and Sony took another 150. Bungie as a studio is dead. Hmm, I bet they are buttering up their streamer buddies to get them to try to sell this BS because it will not sell on its own.
-
You could probably just make do with your current armour and just gradually collect the new ones
-
Do people play the game to max out their characters so they don't have to play anymore? You do you I guess. That's wild. if you feel this way I think a lot of people should stop playing and complaining about grinding in a grind game where that's the fun and the point of it.
-
26 Rispostelol you can still use your old armor. It’s hysterical how people complain anymore. Players want a new system. It’s awesome they’re changing it to be more directly involved with build crafting. I can’t wait until it drops on the game.
-
10 RisposteYeah sunsetting 2.0. I mean all the same content creators who told us that was needed for the good of the game are onboard so it must be great right?
-
I am not really worried about it. For years, I had triple 100 stats in mobility, recovery and discipline. I wished for a long time I could trade discipline for intellect. Season of Wish I decided I would finally take the plunge and try for a set that had the three I wanted. Stood in front of Riven cashing engrams for like fifteen minutes and had a brand new set of triple 100’s. I laughed at how easy it was, after keeping the set I had so long, afraid it would be a nightmare trying to achieve what I wanted. TLDR: This won’t be the end of the world, and we will all have new sets soon enough.
-
3 RisposteHonestly seems like a bit of a return to armour 1.0 with existing mod system doesn’t it?
-
Yeah….maybe I have a myopic opinion but I don’t think this adds to “fun” in the game or even a fruitful grind. I know Bungie lost some talent but damn….this is one of the worst ideas yet.
-
How is the game supposed to get newer without certain major or foundational things evolving?
-
In Year time, everyone will have the armor they want for the 1 or 2 builds per subclass. There's only so many times you can attach the same fragment with the same aspect. Most subclasses have one or two good build, and the rest are just good to farm dregs with. Build craft wise would be better to put in some of those past artifacts on some of these subclasses. All this does is let's you have a faster cooldown in a specific area, a lot of these perks can't be as potent as current ability perks, healing will probably be on par with cure, an the full set probably on par with resto x1. Faster ability cooldowns will lead to nerfs on some scale to balance out with the armor, an when you have all the ones you want for your builds then what instant dismantle on everything I get unless I'm doing that 10 pin grind? Pretty much where we are currently at today, armor i think was okay(once eveyone gets eveything they need, back to just instant dismantling everything, i see no point of changing armor again if werw going to be back here in a yrs time), mods could use some work as haven't had a stable mod system since warmind cells(God i miss these), builds each subclass should get 3 new aspect an maybe 5 or 6 new fragment to play around with for the year, adding in 3 per subclass would open a lot up, as for prismatic just add other fragments that are missing from it.

Did someone say cars?
-
1 RispondiSo, from my understanding... It's essentially not really worth hunting Artifice armour now until Armour 4.0 drops? Just grind for weapons only from here onwards? Like I know Armour we have currently is still fine after 4.0 drops but they'll eventually be replaced regardless since 4.0 has the incentive to move onwards. Is that how I'm reading it, correct?
-
1 RispondiIt waste my time to grind better gears if new frontier comes out. I grind artifact gears from dungeons for better stats nearly two years. Bungie just nuked it for all hard work that I build for.
-
My dude, AFK arena is still available for you to play
