I was screwing around with solar today and had an idea for a way to make Promethium Spur more worthwhile: what if each of the healing/empowering rifts spawned by getting super kills or solar kills while in a rift had a mini Hellion in it? Like a reverse Getaway Artist, almost. Anytime a teammate runs through a Spur rift, they get a mini Hellion for 10s. It solves the issue of giving players more of a reason to move from their rifts and it lets you support your team in a more interesting way. If need be, it could also make it so Hellions don't lose their timer while in a Spur rift. I think this idea would be a fun and unique way to buff an underused exotic and add more synergy with the new aspect.
