OK, since I've gotten absolutely NO HELP from anyone elsewhere (your @BungieHelp X account hasn't replied to me since the launch of The Final Shape), I'll ask you.
When is Bungie going to pull their fingers out of their collective asses and fix the damned no audio issue that was KNOWINGLY INTRODUCED with the Final Shape update.
The so-called workaround in the patch notes of disabling 3D spatial audio in Windows clearly doesn't work for everyone and yet Bungie went ahead and stupidly disabled audio altogether and either didn't test this change on current, popular hardware, or just didn't give a solitary damn that this change was going to irretrievable BREAK THE GAME for many users.
This is deplorable customer service. If I bought a car that I couldn't drive for several days after I bought it while the company attempted to fix hundreds of other problems with the car and then IGNORED the customer, they would be out of business and you know it.
And yet, here I am, three days after the total dumpster fire that has been the launch of The Final Shape and I can't even play a solitary mission because I can't HEAR THE -blam!- THING!
You bet I'm angry now. The closest thing I've gotten to a reply from Bungie is from a so-called "mentor" elsewhere on this godforsaken travesty of a "help" forum who wants me to prove that I've attempted to disable 3D audio with screenshots.
Other people on this forum have complained of the very same problem I'm having and there has been total radio silence from Bungie on those topics. I have no other recourse other than to come here and scream into the void for help.
You know, after this experience, if I were a violent man I could ALMOST understand the death threats. I promise you, if I ever met the person or persons responsible for this garbage I would punch them in the face and spit on them.
I have NEVER had such a piss-poor customer experience and I have been playing Destiny in one form or another since the launch of Destiny 1 some ten years ago. I took a break between Forsaken and just last Christmas and have otherwise played the game consistently since those days long ago.
I have (foolishly) spent HUNDREDS of dollars on Destiny since its inception and THIS is the experience I receive? If I could go to Steam and request a refund of those hundreds of dollars they'd laugh in my face so what other recourse to I have other than to virtually scream myself hoarse here.
I doubt I'll find any solace here because as I've said above BUNGIE DOESN'T CARE!
