Dear Bungie, please buff Legend of Acrius
Perhaps it is just me, but I have recently thought about the element matching damage output guns that each subclass has, exotic ones that is. Whilst thinking through the various solar or void and strand power weapons that are great burst damage, I realized I couldn't think of one for arc damage.
Thunderlord is great, yes, but that is a gun for sustained dps, whereas I am seeking a burst damage exotic option for arc.
This brings me to the suggestion.
I would love to see LoA(Legend of Acrius) be the poster child for arc burst dps. Arc is afterall a subclass where to get the best effect you are in the fray, among the enemies all the time so having a close range burst dps gun would be great.
I suggest this gun be made into a VERY high damage gun, the obvious trade off for this high damage buff is that the user will be right in the enemies face and these days(especially in high end content) that is not a safe thing to do, and will easily lead to your death.
Please make this gun live up to its legendary name.

It'll never be good as long as boss stomps exist

It needs a range buff. Or some sort of buff that keeps you grounded and harder to be knocked away when carrying Acrius.

This post is wildly out of touch with that weapon. Have you tried using it properly with the catalyst? Trench barrel makes this thing a beast for damage. And learning the reload with each shot. If crota didn't have a sword modifier, this thing would be top dps for him. Not to mention, it melts the first ghost of the deep boss.

Legend of Acrius is one of the top weapons with the perk active it deals about 200K per a precision shot (About 150K for a body shot) which for comparison a rocket is dealing about 140K per a shot. The issue is the thing is a shotgun a weapon type notorious for having very few uses against bosses because of stomps basically being a 1 hit with almost no counter even bubble and well break within 1-2 boss stomps in endgame.

1 Rispondiwhen you proc trench barrel, do you run away from the enemy to where you’re at the maximum drop off range before the gun (a really high damage shotgun that you need to be extremely close to use) does 0 damage? I’m confused.

I can remember way back when that thing was briefly a terror in PvP. It would have to shoot twice as far as chaperone with no need for a precision shot to get that reputation back.

Its good, its just clanky to do damage with.

It already does best in class close range damage, and grand overture is phenomenal for burst damage as an arc weapon

It does really good damage. But its a shotgun. And bungie hates you being close to enemies

Legend of acrius is a very high dps gun. It has 0 damage falloff due to reload. Do you not remember ghalran? Or ghosts of the deep???

dont want to power creep it but maybe if it gave you an overshield when ever you hit a crit with it maybe that would help.. have the overshield granted be based off of the amount of crits hit so in pvp is you take out 1 guardian you get 20 overshield points cus its 1 crit its survivability is the real issue its damage is very good usually you have to use it with well or bubble like a sword

Legend of Acrius hits like a truck. Comparable to rockets. I used it in Onslaught yesterday, and hit Tormentor in the shoulder for 90k, and the chest X5 for 65+k

Man I forgot about this gun completely! I obtained when it first came out , the raid was so much fun . Will take out and give it a whirl . It’s heavy so it has to pact a punch 🤷🏼♂️

It’s amazing against ecthar and Ghalran and capital. It’s also a great alternative against Crota if you have no good sword at all

Grand Overture has some of the highest dps and burst damage and it's arc. As is LoA is pretty strong with trench barrel since it gains a 50% damage buff while active and was buffed to work with ranged melees. If anything I'd say 4th horseman and wardcliff need more help.

Chance its RoF to a rapid fire frame but keep its current damage and it will be very powerfull.
